Questions We Get Asked. A Lot.

We've tried to answer everything here. If we haven't, you can email us. A real person reads it and will reply within 2 business days.

ORDERS & PAYMENT

Q: How do I place an order?

Add your items to the basket, head to checkout, and follow the steps. It takes about two minutes. If something goes wrong at checkout, email us and we'll sort it out.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) and PayPal. All payments are processed securely. We don't store your card details.

Q: Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?

We pack and dispatch orders quickly, usually within 1 business day. If you need to make a change, email us as soon as possible and we'll do what we can. Once an order has been dispatched, we're unable to make changes, but you're welcome to return it once it arrives.

Q: My order confirmation hasn't arrived. What should I do?

Check your junk folder first. It ends up there more often than it should. If it's not there either, email us with the name and email address you used at checkout and we'll track it down.

Q: Do you offer gift wrapping?

Not yet. It's on our list. In the meantime, our packaging is clean and presentable enough to give directly.

DELIVERY

Q: How much does delivery cost?

Standard UK delivery is free on orders over £15. Offer only available until the 31st of July, 2026.

Q: How long will my order take to arrive?

Standard UK delivery takes 3–5 business days. We'll send you a tracking link once your order is dispatched so you can see where it is.

Q: Do you offer express delivery?

Not at the moment. We're working on adding this option. For now, if you need something urgently, email us and we'll do our best to prioritise your order.

Q: What happens if my parcel doesn't arrive?

If your parcel hasn't arrived within 7 business days of your dispatch notification, email us. We'll investigate with the courier and make it right, either a replacement or a full refund, whichever you'd prefer.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Q: What is your returns policy?

We accept returns on unworn, unwashed items with the original tags still attached, within 30 days of the delivery date. Please keep your order confirmation as proof of purchase.

Because tights are a hygiene-sensitive product, we're unable to accept returns on items that have been worn or washed. This is standard across the industry, and we appreciate your understanding.

Q: How do I start a return?

Email us with your order number and the reason for the return. We'll reply within 2 business days with instructions. Please don't send anything back without contacting us first.

Q: Who pays for return postage?

For change-of-mind returns, return postage is the customer's responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service, as we can't be responsible for items lost in transit on the way back to us.

If you're returning a faulty item, we'll cover the return postage cost.

Q: When will I receive my refund?

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process the refund within 5 business days. It will be returned to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few additional days to show it. That part is out of our hands.

Q: My tights arrived damaged or faulty. What do I do?

We're sorry. That shouldn't happen. Email us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We'll send a replacement or issue a full refund. No quibble, no lengthy back-and-forth.

Q: I received the wrong item. What do I do?

Also not ideal, and also our fault. Email us and we'll arrange to send the correct item and cover the return of the wrong one.

SIZING & FIT

Q: How do I find my size?

Our size guide uses two measurements: your height and weight. It covers S to 3XL. If you're between sizes, we recommend sizing up — tights that are slightly large feel like nothing. Tights that are slightly small feel like an opinion about your body, and you didn't ask for one.

Find your size:

Size  Height (cm) Weight (kg)
1 / S 155 - 168 48 - 65
2 / M 168 - 175 58 - 70
3 / L 175 - 185 65 - 80
4/ XL 155 - 190 80 - 100
5 / XXL 160 - 190 85 - 110
6 / XXXL 160 - 190 90 - 120

Q: I'm tall with a smaller waist / petite with fuller hips. Which size should I choose?

Use height as your primary guide for leg length and fit. Our waistband has significant stretch and will meet you where you are. If you're unsure, email us with your measurements and we'll recommend the best option.

Q: Do you do maternity tights?

Not in our current range. It's something we're looking at for future collections.

PRODUCT & CARE

Q: Are your tights really ladder-resistant, or is that just marketing?

They're genuinely ladder-resistant. Our Snag-Shield™ knit uses a hexagonal interlocking yarn structure that prevents a single snag from running. One catch stays one catch. We have independent lab results to back this up — you can read the full detail on Stria Lab.

Ladder-resistant doesn't mean indestructible. A sharp stiletto through the toe will win every time. But ordinary daily wear, desk chairs, bags, rings, commutes, that's what these are built for.

Q: What denier are your tights?

Our range currently includes: 8D / 20D / 80D

More options coming. Sign up to our newsletter to hear first.

Q: How should I wash my tights?

Machine wash cold, on a delicate cycle, inside a mesh laundry bag. Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry, do not iron.

We know the mesh bag sounds like extra effort. It significantly extends the lifespan of the tights. We mention it because we genuinely want them to last as long as possible.

Q: Can I tumble dry them?

No. Heat degrades the fibres. Air dry only.

Q: My tights have pilled. Is that a defect?

Some light pilling is normal with regular wear and washing. It's a feature of knitted fabrics generally, not specific to our tights. Washing in a mesh bag and air drying helps minimise it.

Q: Are your tights suitable for sensitive skin?

Our tights are made from cotton, nylon and elastane. They don't contain latex. If you have a known sensitivity to synthetic fibres, we'd recommend ordering a single pair first before committing to more.

ABOUT STRIA

Q: Where are you based?

We're a small team based in London, UK.

Q: Are you a sustainable brand?

Honest answer: we're working on it, and we won't claim more than we've earned. What we do now: plastic-free packaging, and products designed to last significantly longer than standard tights, which reduces how often they need replacing.

Q: I'd like to stock Stria in my shop. Who do I contact?

Email us with a bit about your shop. We're open to the conversation.

Q: I have a question that isn't covered here.

Email us. We aim to reply within 2 business days. If your question is one we get a lot, it'll probably appear in this list next time we update it.
